Notes: Due to scheduling craziness and a couple extra unexpected djs, I ended
up doing the first and last shifts tonight, with just a 4-song block in the
middle. While 'Razor Sharp' was playing, I went around and polled the
remaining patrons about what sort of music they were interested in hearing,
and every single one of them said they loved the down-tempo vibe and wanted to
hear more of that, so I stuck with that for the rest of the night. They all
stayed till closing, and everybody complimented my set on the way out, so I
may start doing that semi-regularly, since it looks like I'll be closing more
often now, Other than that, I'm still conditioning people to Soil + Eclipse,
and I think I'm going to start pushing Z Prochek, too. Great bands that are
sadly underappreciated, in my opinion. I'd say the same thing about Hungry
Lucy, since I seem to be the only dj in Atlanta to play them much, but every
time I play anything by them people come up and ask about them, so I don't
suppose they need much pushing.
