Notes: Well, this was sort of a mixed bag. On the one hand, I got to see five
great bands - if you haven't checked out Elocia, you should. On the other
hand, five great bands were doing sound check through my sets. On the first
hand, the crowd was really enthusiastic and worked up from the live music, and
showed a ton of interest during the set before Myssouri - people were in the
booth constantly asking about various songs or just shouting "You rock!"
(beatmatching djs are a rarity in the Atlanta g/i scene). Back to the second
hand, there was a free buffet at the end of the Myssouri set, so by the time
my first shift in the after party rolled around, everybody who hadn't already
left (all 5 of them) were full and sluggish. The bar closed halfway through
Hallelujah, and everything from Wig in a Box on was just for fun, since the
only people left to hear it were the promoter and the DJs. Not sure why they
stayed open, really, but it was fun in a surreal sort of way.
